Modern warmth - this single-family home in Munich's Bogenhausen district embodies upscale modernity with its open floor plan and geometric design elements. Oak wood as the dominant material lends the rooms warmth and coziness. This is because the clients' wish was to create a home that was suitable for families, cozy and modern at the same time.
Both the architectural and interior design planning and implementation were in the hands of the Reimann Architecture team. The basic idea was to create rectilinear axes and lines by shadow gaps and graphic black lines. The roof is a classic saddle roof with a twist - its location within the parapet creates a perimeter rendered roof edge. Graphic cut-out wall openings, large expanses of glass - all frameless - and set, shifted wall panels with terrazzo cladding create an open floor plan.
